We were picked up from Manali and taken via Rohtang Pass and Kunzum La pass to Chandra taal lake. We spent a day there hiking but couldn't do it much because we were not really used to walking that much. Our accommodation was in quite spacious tents with comfortable bedding. Even then it was a nice trip and we enjoyed it very much. Food was OK and fairly good considering how remote the place is. The roads are in very bad condition and the travelers need to prepare themselves accordingly. People who are not used to travel in mountains should be careful, but modern medicine works quite well.
