Great selection of beers to try on site and get to-go, along with a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Truly a delightful place to have a drink outside!

They have a solid draught beer selection at super reasonable prices, and a smart outdoor setup with high-top tables. Plus it’s basically a big liquor store inside. Great concept, I look forward to going here more and more as the weather gets better.

Town Center Market is a beloved shop that sells a wide selection of beer, wine and other goods in the town center of Riverdale. It's a large space with tight aisles filled wit craft everything. The prices aren't bad and there's a bar area where you can order beer on tap and enjoy it safely on the outdoor patio. It's one of the best local hangout spots!

This place didn't yet exist in the 1960s when I lived several blocks away in what was originally called Riverdale, Maryland, a quiet commuter suburb of Washington, D.C. Streetcars would at one time take you to downtown Washington.nnI visited the Town Center Market with my sister, to re-live childhood memories and we decided to have coffees while looking through the large plate glass window at the bookshop we just explored across the railroad tracks.nnApparently Town Center Market, which also has a large adjacent parking lot, is owned by the same family who for decades ran a small and popular convenience, tobacco, candy, beer and food shop around the corner: Dumm's Corner.nnThis much larger Town Center Market has a vast selection of beers and wines, snacks, and submarines and sandwiches, but it has no food such as chicken, beef, lettuce, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, etc. that one would expect in a food market. There are potato chips, sodas and snack items and candies.nnIf you like beer, this is definitely THE place to go as the store has a huge selection of beers, wines and hard liquors. There is also a Western Union at this location where you can send or receive money.nnThere are a few outdoor tables with umbrellas on a terrace on the Lafayette Street entrance (heated by gas lamps in the cold months), but you may also sit at several tables inside.nnApparently local residents love this place and socialize here regularly. Dogs are also welcome.nnDumm's Pizza and Subs is still around the corner on Riverdale Road.

A good place to make wine and beer purchases, with a really good selection for both beer and wine. If you enjoy trying obscure wines but do not want to spend too much money, keep an eye out here - they often have really great surprises!
