Small fort at Kelve Beach, not in good condition just few footprints left, don't know if it has any history.

Neat and Tidy place which is rare for a popular Beach in India. Seating arrangements are good too.

The Historical triangular shaped Sea shore fort. Having some fortification, gate and some ruins.

One of the places which remind us of the neglect faced my our monuments these days. I wouldn't say that this fort is some beauty or art kind of an architecture but certainly the villagers could restore it to generate some income out of it. The walls are broken the trees have grown tall from within. The place is filled with people smoking and drinking. It was a fort constructed by the Portuguese but does not have very important significance as such. It must have been used as an observation and storage point for the merchants and traders. One of its wall still stands tall giving you an idea that it was a fort at some point.

The Kelva Fort is an ancient structure present here that belongs to the 16th century and was constructed by the Portuguese. This fort was also used by the Maratha ruler, Shivaji, for his own defense purposes. Most of the region is covered with Suru trees.
