Amazing place to watch Olive Ridley turtles. Even if you land on an offseason day, I can assure you that the untouched beach and the exquisite clean blue water of the sea will sweep you off your feet. A nice beach to also sit down for a small family picnic as well.

The place for Mass nesting of olive Ridlay tortoise.nnOut of two famous places in Odisha state. It is in the district Ganjam, under Ganjam forest limits.nnIt is a prohibited area, so photos are not taken. The place is fenced with wire mesh nets in order to restrict the entry as well as to protect the tortoise and their eggs.nnEvery year lakhs of tortoise come to lay eggs during the period of February last week to march second week when the wind from southern site comes.nnIt is a lifetime opportunity to see the egg laying ceremony of tortoise.nnAnother great experience in the month of May when lakhs of little tortoise moves to sea.nnForest department team arrange to take protect tortoise and eggs as well.

Not much facilities, infrastructural development required, roads to reach where also not marked. Government needs to work on the preservation of the please as the location has esteemed potential to developed as a Tourist spot.

Be there during the afternoon, preferably before dusk and enjoy the lonely beach. U will love the way the local fishermen catch fish for thier family for dinner.
