At the time of renovation , the installation festival ghee wasnordered by the learned Acharya Yashobhadrasurisvarji throughntantric power. When the merchants of this place came to knownabout this, they went to pay the price of the ghee but seeing thatntheir invaluable wealth was used for a pious purpose, they did notnaccept the money amounting nine lakhs of rupees, This temple,ntherefore, became known as the ‘Navlakha Temple’ .There isnanother story behind the name Navlakha. It is said that on thennine Pooja spots of the idol mantras are written. So it is alsonknown as Navlakha Parshvanath. Previously the idol of BhagwannMahaveer was installed. There is an inscription from the time ofnrenovation of this temple in the year 1144 and its renovation againnin the year 1686 of the Vikram era that this idol of Bhagawan Parshwanath was installed in thenplace of the idol of Bhagwan Mahavir.
