The diamond crossing of Dhanbad was once a historical site. In the included Bihar Jharkhand, the rail rails had cut each other like diamonds. Diamond crossing is located about 1 kilometer east of Dhanbad station. One rail line used to go to CIC section while the other line went towards Jharia. These two railway lines crossed each other near Diamond Crossing. After the closure of the Jharia railway line, the diamond crossing gradually ceased to exist. The Jharia line was uprooted and the crossing ended. Diamond Crossing has a railway cabin as a memorial, which is also in a shambles.
