New karimganj railway station is a gift from the NF Railway to the entire area of break valley as well as Tripura .... Earlier all the mail and long distance trains used to pass the area via old karimganj station which was quite time consuming as there engine had to change due to its location ...but now its become very easier to avoid the lengthy process of change of engine rather it passes through new karimganj by pass....but this station needs lots of improvement as well as modern facilities... sometimes due to rush of passengers lots of lots of problems created ...hope the railway authority will look into the matter seriously....

The New Karimgang Railway Station has been constructed after gauge conversion project.nnIt serves Karimgang Town along with two other station. Train going to AGARTALA, Tripura passes through New Karimgang Station.nnStation is good. Shared Auto available just outside the Station for going to main Karimgang Town.nnKarimgang Town can be reached by train from Guwahati in about 11 hours. The Journey is very pleasant. You can enjoy nice natural beauty of Karbi Along District. The Train passes through numbers of Tunnels. Don't Sleep while going through Karbi Along District. Just Enjoy the Natural beauty peeping through train window.nnWish you happy Journey to Karimgang.
