Harivihar is an ultimate wellness centre which offers the best in class services . Although this property is located inside city limits,but the ambiance will take you back to real heritage. Hats off to hosts,who makes your stay comfortable yet a memorable one. All staffs were competing each other to deliver the best of their services. Spend some time with hosts,especially with Dr.Srikumar, who is gem of a man. His wife also very friendly and no doubt, will ensure a memorable stay for your family. Mr.Amit is looking after day to day operations of this property and he's a down to earth character. I couldn't recollect other staffs names,but the whole team is incomparable!!!nWho ever wish to choose a family stay in Calicut, consider this as your first choice,no doubt your kids will never forget this place. (My son is still having that heritage hangover.. he ..he ..nand he thoroughly enjoyed the company of one of their lady staffs, who was very caring in nature).nSo we will be back again soon.

Harivihar is an absolute gem tucked away in the wonderful town of Calicut. Tastefully and artistically restored by the wonderful Dr. Srikumar and his wife, the place should not be missed as one of the best homesteads in India, let alone in Kerala. The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere around the house is both nostalgic and familial in the way we all grew up in India and how good and healthy life was. The pure vegetarian fare is outstanding and varied across meals. Yoga and Ayurvedic massage facilities are simply one of the best I have come across. Wonderful conversations with Dr. Srikumar and his family about the house, city of Calicut and Kerala in general add a real unique flavour to staying at Harivihar. Everytime one leaves Harivihar to see the city, coming back at the end of the day feels like home - which is the true test of hospitality and wellness. Sublimely delightful is how I would describe it - will be back for sure! Highly highly recommended for the discerning traveller!!

The place is a real find. Two lovely acres inside of a intensely urban trading city in Northern India. House has very long history and was purchased by current owners’ family over a 100 years ago. Has swimming pond, coconut trees, beautiful veranda. The home is an architectural gem that has been saved by very consciousness owners.nnThe service is exceptional. We arrived on a major holiday expecting to go to Paragon restaurant for dinner. When we discovered that even THAT was closed, the house made us dinner, a very good one at that, on almost no notice.nnIn neighboring Beypore large wooden boat building has been going on for over 1,500 years and continues to be done traditionally with no written plans.nnOne of the ancient mosques their, which we did see is over 650 years old.nnThere is a lot of wonderful history in this very busy town that would attract more tourists if it were know about that could be enjoyed using the Harivihar Wellness Retreat as a launching area.

We enjoyed our stay at Harivihar Wellness Retreat. It was a very relaxing and beautiful experience. Excellent hospitality. We will definitely visit again!!!
