Banana is the fifth most traded agricultural commodity in the world after cereals, sugar, coffee and cocoa.nnDaranggiri, Asia’s largest banana Market. Though banana is grown round-the-year, its peak season is from May-June to September-October when an average of 50 truckloads are sold in the tiny market of Darangiri is located near NH37, Amjonga (apprx 6km) and Rangjuli (approx 10km) Railway station in Goalpara district of Assam. There are many people involved in it. They are exported to Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh etc...
