If you are a nature lover, this abode of clouds, perched into the East Khasi Hills is your escape into nature. If you like living on the edge, this place has a 3000-steps-stairway that lets you climb up and down on the edge while staring at dreamy vistas that surround this place. Sunsets and sunrises add a magical charm to the beauty of its scenic hill slopes and make it appear surreal.

Laitlum Canyon is the haven for nature lovers, and had a wonderful time in Laitlum. Must see places near Shillong. Wonderful Journey. Wonderful pictorial spot. Awesome view. I advise Bike journeys rather than car. This place is 20KM approx. from Shillong Police Bazar. You can enjoy and feel hills, sunrise, sunset and beautiful climate.

It's a beautiful natural scenery worth seeing it at least once if you have the chance to visit Meghalaya. It's very popular local picnic spot also it is spread out over vast area of rolling hills. So many local families come there bringing their lunch with them and enjoy with their families by playing games singing songs and overall spending quality time with the families.

Peaceful and relaxing place. Where cloud's meet the sky. Family place where you can have a safe and clean outing. One of the best picnic spot in Meghalaya. Best time to visit is from May to October.
