Camped here a few times in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's...Always loved it... stumbled on it while taking back roads to Tannersville... Laughed when I zipped past it, as I was not aware I was near it... popped in for a quick hike... Looks as nice as I remember.

Small campground with lots of trees and shade, not as crowded with RVs, trailers, larger groups as other campgrounds in the area. It is close to the road so you can hear the occasional car or truck go by, but as long as you’re in one of the sites a bit further back it’s hardly noticeable. Ideal location for day hikes - highly recommend.

A basic but loveable campground. Grounds are pack in, pack out. The bathrooms are septic tanks. Water spigots work and a network of trails connect. The campsites are close but separated by trees. The ground is made up of a lot of gravel type rocks on top of dirt but beware the typical NY rocks under the first layer of dirt if you putting down pegs. I had no cell phone service or data with TMobile but may vary for others.

Camped here way back on May 26, 1992 prior to climbing the Devil's Path up to the summit of Plateau Mountain on May 27th. I remember it being very peaceful and quiet back then despite being right off Hwy 214. Had a nice spot where I parked my car and pitched my tent.
