It's a government veterinary hospital in heart of city which cater to treatment of all type of animals especially dogs at .It's adjacent to SPCA a society which take care of injured stray dogs ,horse and cows .All such animals are also provides first aid by staff of CVH Hathi gate ..nCVH Hathi Gate is also a Tehsil level building where Senior Veterinary Officer office is also situated .All Tehsil Amritsar meetings take place in this building .nCVH HATHI Gate building also have dedicated Operation theatre and cages for housing the dogs at backside .

I found an injured dog in the gutter, called first and took it in for treatment. Within minutes the pup was on an intravenous drip and being administered antibiotics for what turned out to be a dog bite. Dog was taken next door to SPCA shelter to recover. Very impressed with the veterinary doctors. I offered to pay for the medicine but they declined suggesting instead I buy medicine for the shelter, which I did. Thanks for caring about these street animals, it has restored my faith in people and reinforced my faith in animals.
