Vir Bahadur Singh Planetarium (also spelled 'Veer' or 'Bir') is a tourist attraction in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It has been run by the Council of Science & Technology, Uttar Pradesh since 21 December 2009.nnThis planetarium runs three daily, 45-minute shows at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. It has a dome size of 18m and a seating capacity of 395.It is based on digital technology, and six equipments of CRT, Evans and Sutherland are installed here.

The doors of the Veer Bahadur Singh Planetarium were opened on 21 Dec 2009 for the public. The Planetarium is based upon the world's most advanced digital technology and Evans & Sutherland, USA had installed six CRT based projectors. The planetarium has a dome, which is 18.5 m wide and has sitting capacity of 395. Three shows are organized daily by the planetarium the first one at 1.00 pm, second and third at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. The Planetarium is closed on Mondays. It is an ideal spot for admirers of science and school kids.nnWeather: Summer 20°C to 39°C Winter 10°C to 22°C

I think one of the cheapest and upto the mark Planetarium across India. At a megre price of 25 rupee having 45 minutes of astronomical venture isn't a bad deal Afterall. Explained in the iconic voice of Harish Bhimani. The program is little unstructured as compared to Delhi planterium but still it was fun to watch. Must go for all ages. Loved it. Reach there a little earlier, sometimes school kids show up in bulk.
