Jim Corbett National Park is one of the largest national parks in India. Located around 280 kms from Delhi in Nainital District of Uttarakhand. The park is home for hundreds of tigers, thousands of elephants and many other species. Apart of different animals there are numerous other species of birds. The park is popular amongst bird watchers from accross the globe. There are many gates of this park for entry purpose for general public. The most popular ones are Dhikala, Bijrani, Jhirna, Durga Devi and Sita Bani. Only Dhikala gate is for those who wish to stay overnight in forest rest houses inside the park. To stay in forest rest houses or to avail the Safari one has book everything in advance through the government website. There are limits on every gate on number of vehicles allowed inside the park during the Safari in a day. There are two type of Safari available one during sunrise and other one during sunset. Always carry the same ID proof to avail the Safari which was used at the time of booking. Please follow the guidelines briefed by the guide during Safari to keep the jungle safe and clean. It’s an amazing experience to visit the forest.
