This is main throne place of panch Kedar and Winter worship of first Kedar shri Kedarnath and second Kedar shri Madmaheshwar performed here after closing of Kedarnath temple. King Mandhata observed penance here and the place famous as Omkareshwar.It's believed that USHA daughter of demon king Banasur and ANIRUDDH grandson of Shri Krishna got married here and is known Ushamath later called Ukhimath wedding mandap of Usha - Aniruddh is also here. Panchmukhi(five face) silver Idol Shiva represents Kedarnath. Chief Rawal of Kedarnath also resides here.

Ancient temple of lord Shiva, which has the gaddi of Kedarnath.nIt is the winter abode of Lord Kedarnath.nBeautiful temple built in carved Granite stone & Wood, tastefully carved.nCurrently it is painted in beautiful colours & is a great place to visit.

Its a nice holy place. Visiting this place will complete your panch kendarnath as all the holy idols of Tungnath, and other 4 kedarnath idols, during winters are kept here
