Red Fort was built by Emperor Shahjahan when he shifted his capital from Agra to Delhi. The historical city Delhi is covered with a wall for the purpose of safety. There is 14 gates to pass through the capital. Two gates are in the Red Fort I.e. Lahiri Gate and second one is Delhi Gate. Mostly Red stone is used to built the fort. There is a cave started from the Red Fort and people's says that it goes to Agra Fort. Presently this is locked. The fort is presently under the control of Astrological Survey of India. The fort is in a very good condition and is a symbol of Delhi.nufffc Accessibility FeaturesnnThe Red Fort complex has basic accessibility features that are available at the entrance and also on the ground floor. The Red Fort is a historic fort in the city of Delhi (in Old Delhi) in India that served as the main residence of the Mughal Emperors. Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned construction of the Red Fort on 12 May 1638, when he decided to shift his capital from Agra to Delhi. Originally red and white, its painting is credited to architect Ustad Ahmad Lahori, who also constructed the Taj Mahal. It was renovated between May 1639 and April 1648 based on an earlier fort.nnRed Fort
