Very old and nice brewery. Unfortunately we went on a holiday. For insider tour, you need to take permission from GST authorities in Shimla / Chandigarh (check with them directly). There's an old railway station of brewery just besides the building and its a scenic photography spot.

Oldest distillery of British time. Formerly known as Dyer meakin breweries ltd.later shares were purchased by sh N N Mohan and name was changed as Mohan meakin breweries Ltd. Solan No 1 is best and renowned whiskey. Recently they have launched Solan No 1 ,Solan No 1 Black and best premium whiskey Solan No 1 Gold better than foreign Scotch whisky.
