Ancient Benedictine abbey, until recently entrusted to the Lateran Canons. Archaeological evidence of a Roman villa on whose remains the Abbey was later built. It is a UNESCO heritage site. In the cloister two sundials have been found and restored, considered by the experts perhaps the oldest in the province of Bologna. Nearby the caves of Farneto and Spipola, where guided tours are organized from the Parco dei Gessi. It can also be a meeting point for walks in the Park (Palestrina, Miserazzano plateau, former wire quarry etc.). Nearby is also the Chapel of the Madonna dei Boschi, which refers to a miracle documented in a notarial deed of the 1600s. MANDATORY VISIT !!
