Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Cortemaggiore

This Basilica Minore in Cortemaggiore is mostly empty but has an impressive number of Art works by Pordenone and other skilled italian painters spanning from XVI to XIX century.

We visited for Last Supper by Davinci. You must book your slot online unless they don't allow you to go in. The painting was repaired recently and amazing to see.

The Basilica, called by the citizens "collegiate", is beautiful, vertically slender, imposing, with rich ornaments and supported by smooth columns with a circular section, extremely rare from an architectural point of view, so much so as to constitute a unicum in this respect. Worth a visit. ⛪

Beautiful Renaissance church, almost mandatory to visit it after the difficult visit to the Last Supper whose entrance is, in the square, on its left. Remarkable works inside for lovers of art history and not.
