The Palazzo Làscaris, built in Turin between 1663 and 1665 for the count Giovanni Battista Beggiamo, is the seat of the Piedmont Regional Council. Palace, built between 1663 and 1665 by Domenico Bernardi of Amedeo di Castellamonte design for Count Giovanni Battista Beggiamo St. Albans and Cervere, later went to the Marquise de Marolles Caluso and then the Carron family of St. Thomas. In the second half of the XVIII century it was restructured and enlarged by the architect Francesco Valeriano Dellala di Beinasco. In 1803 it passed, by hereditary succession, to the Lascaris family, hence the name of the building and later to Camillo Benso, count of Cavour. From 1919 to 1928 the building was owned by the wealthy financier Riccardo Gualino who established his headquarters there, as well as the headquarters of SNIA and other related companies. During the Second World War the building was struck during a bombing and partially damaged: in particular the frescoes of Stefano Maria Legnani were lost. After the Second World War it was the seat of the Turin Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture. In 1975 it became the property of the Piedmont Region which made it the seat of the Regional Council.

Palazzo Beggiamo, today Palazzo Lascaris and the seat of the regional council, was built between 1663 and 1665 by one of the most talented architects of the time, Amedeo di Castellamonte. The residence passed in 1674 from the Beggiamo family to Gabriella di Marolles, a favorite of the Duke of Savoy, Carlo Emanuele II, who settled there with her husband, Count de Sales. They were years of frivolity, sumptuous shows, jousting and tournaments, as the historians tell us about the time: and some of the decorations still present in the building date back to that time.

Splendid palace, to visit both for the artistic value and for the knowledge of a public institution.
