I don't hate it as a place, only sad reminder for the death of a friend of mine

The church has very ancient origins, prior to the year 1000. It has undergone several changes over the centuries. The first information on the Chapel of San Faustino is found in a document from the archive of the Cathedral of Reggio, published by the Affarosi and dates back to the year 857. In the mid-1800s it was radically renewed according to the neoclassical style of the time, the however, the exterior was traced back to the original Romanesque-Lombard line. Only in the second half of the 900 with important and careful restorations was the original structure recovered, preserving and highlighting what was left of primitive (in particular the beautiful apses). Inside there are important frescoes of the '200 and' 500. Outside, on the other hand, interesting bas-reliefs, columns and capitals can be observed. Above the main entrance there is a fresco depicting Saints Faustino and Giovita. It is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved Romanesque churches in the area.
