San Giovanni Battista

Neo-Gothic church built between 1918 and 1923, based on a project by Giovanni Artusi, forlimpopolese master builder. The church crowned the new convent of the Augustinian nuns, obtained from a civil building where they had found refuge after their removal from their ancient convent, which took place in 1910. On the facade of the church there is a majolica lunette depicting the Baptism of Christ , a work created in 1989 by the artist from Faenza Goffredo Gaeta. The interior, with a single nave covered by cross vaults, is marked by semi-pillars and ribs decorated with horizontal bands in the colors of white and terracotta. Behind the modernly made altar there is an elegantly carved wooden choir and, on the wall, a crucifix from the end of the twentieth century.
