A church located in a very beautiful mountain place near the city. It is built on a panoramic rocky spur and is closed, but the architecture is impressive. It was built over the remains of an ancient pagan temple whose ritual practices went on well beyond the establishment of the Christian era. Even better preserved visible remains of pagan temples are visible further up on the top of Torre Maggiore

Enchanting place full of history and archeology. Too bad that the Church cannot be visited and that there are no signs for visitors. The Tower could be restored and enhanced.

I really liked Sant'Erasmo a place where you can spend some cool days in the company of someone taking a walk in the fresh air and why not stop for lunch and make a nice chop there are fireplaces almost everywhere and tables where you can eat .. .the church is closed by a padlock and cannot be accessed but not so much and that there is much to see inside and outside all the beauty of Sant'Erasmo go there because the view is breathtaking

One of the many particular places where history overlaps, the Christian and the pagan mix together in the fine line of the relationship between man and divinity. It is located 800 meters above sea level about 5 kilometers from the town of Cesi near Terni The church stands suspended between heaven and earth and is built on a limestone spur fortified by people of Umbrian Sabine origin in the 5th century BC. and the remains can still be seen today. The Romanesque church dates back to the 12th century and was erected by Benedictine monks. The remains of an ancient temple of a small town that was called Clusiolum V Century BC remain.
