Place of peace. Very welcoming.

Central church in Monte Sant'Angelo very beautiful inside, one of the most popular, with an organ and good acoustics. We carry out all the ordinary and extraordinary masses and then baptisms, communions, funerals and all the recurrences and festivities of the saints.

It is my parish, a church rich in history and beautiful. I say no more. Seeing is believing

The convent structure of the Fathers of the Order of Mount Carmel was founded in 1577 on a ground outside the city walls, donated by the "Major Citizens" of Monte Sant'Angelo, with the assent of the Siponto-Gargano archbishop, Mgr. Giuseppe Sapìa. The religious rites are initially officiated in the pre-existing suburban chapel dedicated to Santa Maria di Loreto which, over time, is expanded to the need. We must wait for the penultimate decade of the 1700s to see the Church completed in size and architectural typology as it is still preserved today. This is evident from the reading of a lithic folder placed immediately under the broken arch pediment, above the entrance portal, and on the crowning of the building of the cult building; both date the following dating in Roman numerals: MDCCXC (1790), having been signed the construction contract on 1 January 1782 by the Prior, father Michele Maria Rago, and by a "master builder" from Abruzzo, already engaged on the spot "... with the occasion of the factories of the Monastery of Donne Monache (the Poor Clares of the Holy Trinity) ", declaring itself available to take office from March 1 of the same year to the" ... accomplishment of the Cappellone and continuation and end of the nave of the chiesa ... ", with the collaboration of its workers and that of operators, laborers and local suppliers.
