Originally dedicated to the proclamation (as shown by a small sculpture in a side door aedicule) it was rebuilt in the 700s by a wealthy family (the d'Errici) after it was damaged by an earthquake. It was located close to the ancient walls, near the "lake gate" and the current entrance dates back to the 20th century since before the main entrance was on the left. The church inside is restored in Baroque style unfortunately even if in its own way it is nice, above the entrance door a clock with a Roman numeral. If you find it open (which is very difficult) I suggest you take a ride!
