Baroque church, in the heart of the historic center of Monte Sant'Angelo, finished restoring in August 2015, thanks to the Confraternity of the Holy Trinity that takes care of this place.

Also called the church of the "Nuns" it was built at the beginning of the 1400s by the Clarisse nuns thanks to a rich donation from a nobleman of the city. In 1700 it was completely rebuilt by the nuns themselves and the bell tower was built. In 1887 the church and convent were abandoned and the order of the dissolved Poor Clares. It suffered considerable damage during the earthquake of 1982 but in 200 it was restored and now the convent is the seat of the "Centro Studi Micaelici e Garganici" and of the municipal library. Legend has it that in this convent the "stuffed wafers", a typical dessert of Monte Sant'Angelo, were born. The church, like all those restored or rebuilt in the 1700s, has a Baroque interior, even though the place is almost always closed, it is absolutely worth visiting, near the church a splendid square and one of the best restaurants in the town!
