Very well restored. For lovers of the Stations of the Cross, that of this church is very pretty.

Beautiful church located next to the sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo. It was built in 1879, expanding the old oratory of S. Anna and renovating the area of ​​the courtyard in front which was partly occupied by an ancient cemetery. The building is neat and well cared for in the stuccoes and Corinthian capitals, with a linear structure with a nave, surmounted by a slender arched vault, which ends in a narrow and not very pronounced apse. The pillars and frames are decorated in gold color. In the last century, after the demolition of the church of San Pietro, seat for a long time of the only town parish entrusted to the Chapter of San Michele, the church of the Madonna della Libera assumed the functions it held until 1970. In it there are also the statues of S. Anna and S. Lucia, object of particular devotion by the inhabitants of Monte Sant'Angelo together with the titular Madonna, who are celebrated respectively on July 26 and December 13.
