Reviews
Mario Fabbrizioli (11/15/2020)
I would like to remind you that in this church there is an inlaid wooden choir of 42 panels from a 15th century church in Florence. It is reputed to be one of the most important and oldest.
Federico Morolli (12/19/2020)
This year, 2020, the annual feast of Saint Rita will not be held because it would be contrary to the requirements of the ministry of health and the government to prevent the infection from the Corona virus. It would be too difficult if not impossible to comply with the rules to prevent contagion. Mass time: Every day Sunday including 9.00 am. Respect the special rules of hygiene: - show up in front of the church in advance (15 min before?), places are limited; - always keep the distance between people (1.50 meters?); - wash your hands with a disinfectant (hydro-alcoholic, amuchina or similar) as soon as you enter the church, rubbing for 20 seconds. If one can, an offer is very welcome, but after touching the money one must wash one's hands in the aforementioned way. -during the celebration of the mass, the beggar probably does not pass: the offerings are made before or after the mass by putting them in an offer box; - communion, according to what the celebrant says: you go to receive it at the altar in a row passing the center of the church, keeping a distance of 2 meters, removing the mask 4 meters before arriving in front of the minister and returning to the place with the mask on the face passing from the sides of the church. Alternatively, communion is brought to the faithful in the benches by the ministers; usually it is received in open hands and placed in the mouth in front of the priest; - leave the church as soon as possible (just after the mass?) to allow air exchange and disinfection. - the mask should be treated like a used handkerchief; he has to close his mouth and nose at least when moving around the church; to remove it you have to take it by the rubber bands without touching the filtering part. Historical information. In this place he lived and worked for some time as a stonecutter s. Marino (that of the homonymous republic). It was the seat of the Bishop of Rimini until the 1980s (?); the windows up to the 70s seem to have been tall and narrow typical of Gothic architecture, two of them can be seen, closed, in the facade. Well restored interior items. The floor was redone after the war thanks to a donation from Count Palloni. Some of the works of art inside are: inlaid choir (see review "Fabbrizioli"); antique wooden crucifix; the monument to Pope Pius VII (it is said that there were steps in front of the monument; at the time of the passage of Pope Pius VII it seems that a room allocated in the cloister for the pope had been built which had a window open on the inside of the church on the side a mare), paintings from the life of s. Marino, in one you can see the ancient Rimini basilica of s. Colomba, (it seems that in Rimini there is only in this painting and in another in the church of S. Gaudenzo); upstream of the altar there is a holy water stoup used as a baptismal font. Above the holy water font there is a metal cover depicting John the Baptist baptizing a dedication to the sac. Filippo di Grazia, one of the parish priests in this church and an important figure in the Rimini church; 18th century Venetian Callido organ, transported by sea, a single keyboard, four scales, five registers (?), 12 pedals plus one that reproduces the sound of the drum; et alter. In the portico of the cloister next to the church, there is a well used or dug by San Marino (it is not the one that is now in the cloister lawn). In the period from the Renaissance to the Enlightenment the church was officiated by the Lateran canonical friars. For more information see also the guide to the church of prof. Piergiorgio Pasini, Il Ponte publishing house, via Cairoli 69 Rimini.
