Lovely day with my girlfriend. A few activities were not available due to Covid-19, however the experience was amazing and we spent over 3 hours enjoying the astonishing array of wildlife on display. Would definitely recommend
Do not know where to start! Amazing aquarium, if I am not mistaken this aquarium is the biggest in the Europe. It's truly impressive. They have the largest exhibition of biodiversity and ecosystems in Europe.
You will easily discover 12,000 specimens belonging to 600 animal species and 200 vegetal species. It's a pity because there used to be an option to touch fishes and other sea animals but due to covid-19 you are not able to do that.
You can also learn about the predators of the sea. As it stated in their website:"A portal with an holographic effect welcomes visitors in the sharks bay, giving a sneak preview of what you will feel while watching the big tank that hosts the predators of the sea – not only various species of sharks from different environments, but also other interesting fish. Near the bottom, for example, you can find two specimens of sawfish, typical of the Indian and Western Pacific Ocean; they can be identified easily because of their long rostrum with tooth-like denticles."
There is a fast food bar, as well as gift shop, so you can grab a quick snack and an adorable souvenir on the way out!
With a ticket there's an option to visit biosphere with tropical animals and plants as well as Bigo, which shows you a stunning panoramic view of Porto Antico where is located the Aquarium of Genoa.
I Highly recommend visiting everything!
A wonderful experience. Many big tanks with so many species. Enjoyed a lot with our daughter. But remember to always buy only aquarium ticket. The panoramic lift operates only few hours with huge waiting queue. Also the bio-spherical garden is waste of money.
Good. Journey for 2 hours. If you fan of fish it’s decently the best experience! Good for kids!
An incredible experience to live in Genoa, the visit is about an hour long.
