Ancient church in the center of the Albaro district .. where my father once told me there were vineyards and greenery. The church is the center of the district as beautiful and cozy as the churches of the past were.

Parish of Saints Nazario and Celso located in Albaro. One of the most beautiful and elegant areas of Genoa above Corso Italia and a few meters from Via Piave and dating back to the year 1300 and then renovated in 1500 before the church was born this was still a countryside area full of beautiful vineyards the birth of the church changed the course of things. inside the church you can find priceless paintings and still well preserved frescoes. which give a great glance to those who enter to visit it . to reach Albaro is simple by taking bus 31 from piazzale brignole and walking up a few meters from via Piave or bus 42 from piazza fontane marose which will take you straight to Albaro. good visit.

Very nice church. It was begun in 1300 and had various alterations, most of which in the second half of 1500. In my opinion the most valuable works are a wooden group by Maragliano (Baptism of Christ), a sculpture by Brilla depicting the Crucifixion and a painting by Fiasella depicting St. Francis in contemplation of Christ and the Madonna. The organ installed in the late 1800s to replace the eighteenth-century one is also beautiful

It is the family church and therefore in part of it but it is beautiful, in the most beautiful square of albaro, surrounded by ancient buildings that recall that up to sixty years ago it was a country village. Church in the Genoese limits sober but beautiful and obviously also rich in details
