I have been onboard “Verdi” boat for Danube river cruise. The overall experience was very negative. The food onboard very low quality and one day I asked to get an apple or any fruit instead of the cake (that looked terrible) and the waiter refused. Very long waiting (around 2hours/meal). The food was really bad quality, and no variety, in all the tour they served only one kind of fish (cat fish, such cheap one) and pork meat. Buffet only for breakfast and it’s average. The cabin was very noisy because it was close to a machine working 24h (I also paid a supplement for the single cabin) and the Giver referent gave me ear plugs but the issue was not solved. Only Italian speaking be careful! Indeed in some trips the guide was not Italian speaking so one person had to translate somehow what the guide said. This is not what I paid for. Then icing on the cake Giver pretended a tip of EUR 50/person “as costum” that I find really mean. They have to all an envelope and collected it, if it’s like a mandatory extra money to pay then they should give invoice for that. It was not my first time with Giver (I have done also the cruise Moscow-St. Petersburg and the one in Holland), the other times was average, it’s like 2/3 stars quality but this time I didn’t enjoy the vacation because of the disservices and the bad quality.

My wife and I have just returned from a spectacular cruise "on the way to the tsars", from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Unfortunately we had delays in the flights of the first leg so that we arrived in Moscow the next day losing, alas, the morning guided tour of the city; Giver made us recover what we lost by accompanying us in the afternoon with a car and a guide (very good and well prepared) all for us. The crew has always been available, but a special mention also goes to the varied and exquisite cuisine. Recommended!

With Giver we visited Iceland last year. Magnificent places and an extraordinary tour, impeccably organized. Our guide (Alberto) was informed and prepared. We have always been on time for departures and arrivals and our group has always been (fortunately). We visited places that are not very accessible thanks to the Scania bus equipped coach. A summer I will never forget! Thanks Giver!

A star because you can't give less! Cruise from Basel to Amsterdam from 11 to 18 August. Unsuitable and inadequate staff, completely indifferent to guests' needs. We are eating bread and butter for 4 days because the cook does not know what it means to prepare something remotely close to the acceptable term. Giver's crew know how to play only with the blame game. They do not offer accurate information on the places and the organization of the excursions included. Performers are improvised but only translate a part of what the guides say in English. And they also make comments completely out of place: after 3 days that fruit and vegetables are not served, I cannot answer that it is an exclusive problem for those coming from southern Italy (they are southern). Very bad in every way. Cruises unjustifiably expensive! Money definitely thrown away, never again !!!!
