This afternoon we stopped at the Smeraldo bar in piazza Basile 4, Alessandria. The tables outside were all occupied, but the kind owner Alla, took one inside with two chairs and put it outside, where we sat for a coffee and a Moroccan , its specialties. My mother-in-law, 93 years old ... hospitalized in the nearby retirement home was happy with the walk and the coffee.
