I've spent many times especially on Saturdays and Sundays (to accompany my son who is studying at the seminary Orvieto) and I have always found it closed, in June! Sin! I understand that it preserves a beautiful fresco representing the Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian, work of the Master of the Triptych of Cesi (today preserved in the Musée Marmotton-Monet in Paris) in collaboration with Cimabue elder and Giotto young, when they painted the Lower Basilica of Assisi .It is a waste to boast a magnificent work of art in a country that is famous only for its green resorts and swimming pools. No one mentions the many works of art in this country which is a jewel of architecture and art pictorial and statuary!
