Church of San Crispino da Viterbo. The complex, of very recent construction, stands near the bridge of Rio Chiaro, near Orvieto, where, in 1263, the delivery of the SS. Corporal of the Miracle of Bolsena by Bishop Giacomo to Pope Urban IV. The exterior of the main façade of the church, plastered, is characterized by two surfaces that are close together and varying in height. The first, lower (marked by an engraved cross), detaches from the body of the facade and bends towards those who enter. The second, higher, houses the entrance door to the church building. The liturgical hall, mainly plastered and with some portions covered in tuff, is quadrangular in shape, with three naves, with a rectangular presbytery and a curved apse raised by three steps. The walk in the hall is strongly strengthened by a tape guide composed of small gold leaf tiles, cemented into the floor that extends up to the presbytery and goes up to the altar, made of a single block of travertine. The openings for the light on the side walls have an irregular shape and pattern; in particular on the right side they are high and splayed, on the left side they are low and of various sizes. The baptismal font, also in travertine stone, is placed between the pillars of the left aisle.
