Chiesa di Sassuno

I contributed to the reconstruction and restoration of the rectory next to the church, it was 1994, we were 4 boys and a girl, we were part of the Pope John xxiii Association. Of the rectory there were just the external walls and little else, we, with a few shovels, a few trowels, a cement mixer and little else, with the donations of those who believed in us, we were able to revive that magnificent place, where I left a piece of my heart, there have been moments when I wanted to give up, but with the support of Mario with his charisma, so powerful and true, with that sense of family and sharing, I was able to go beyond my human difficulties and I thank God x having succeeded, because what that place gave me was the salvation of my life. I invite anyone who goes, to make sure to visit the small chapel, which we did in what was once a cellar or a small shelter. A very good one for those who are passionate about truffles, if you find a lot of them, and if you want to take a nice excursion, I recommend you to visit the Sassuno dragon, it is none other than one of the gullies, in which there is a considerable amount of mud that erupts from underground, even through a small 🌋volcano. Made a nice walk then looked for some frasco, far from the cause

A Sassuno I went because I had read an article about a nice trail for walking. I left the car and I walked to the church. The first section is very interesting, with beautiful views of the surrounding slopes and some pretty spectacular gullies. However, continuing, the path winds through the bush, offering nothing particularly attractive. If you intend to do so, consider that it is quite steep.
