Chiesa Di San Domenico

The church was a remake wanted by the Dukes in the years 1708-31, because the previous construction, oriented according to the west-east axis and not according to the current south-north, did not seem worthy of the new adjacent Ducal Palace; it houses the tomb of Blessed Marco da Modena (died in 1498), protector of students. The baptistery houses the beautiful terracotta sculptural group by Antonio Begarelli depicting Jesus in the house of Martha and Magdalene with the Apostles Peter and Paul and other pious women
