Beautiful parish church with a lot of history, inquire for openings, find the n. phone in the images, because it is not easy to find it open. Damaged during the war and due to landslides, it is still a beautiful sight full of symbols. Very bare as all the parish churches are. Next to it a peasant museum. Isolated in the countryside but close to the road, for those arriving from Montefiorino, be careful because the arrow points to the left and can only be read for those who climb. The house used as a shelter for the religious is horrible ... Absolutely to visit.

Important group of buildings in Anticho Borgo, with Pieve dating back to 1130 AD, Parish, Oratory, Convent, Hostel, and conference hall. At 400 meters Cemetery that houses various representatives of the clergy, parish priests and benefactors of the place. At about 5 Km. From Montefiorino, municipality of jurisdiction with parking in four different spaces and with suggestive views.

This church named after the Virgin Mary of the Assumption is a rural church with a baptistery. The complex consists of the ecclesiastical building and the bell tower, both of Romanesque times, with a small sacristy attached. Around this factory, the community service buildings are arranged in a fan-like manner: the fourteenth-sixteenth century canonical old, the 800-900th century canonical new and the barn with adjoining barn. The village, despite the changes that have taken place, maintains the medieval structure of its constitution, both in the buildings and in the road network, which can still be read in the confluent paths to the parish church.

A wonderful pieve immersed in the green hills of Modena, a stone's throw from Montefiorino and located at the foot of the Tuscan Emilian Apennines. The church is mentioned in an 882 document kept in the archiepiscopal archive of Modena; the basilica plant was built between the tenth and eleventh centuries on a Cluniac model, strongly desired and supported by Matilde di Canossa. Next to the church is the bell tower, probably used also as a defensive tower, as suggested by the loopholes present. Very beautiful decorated lunettes on the outer cornice of the apse: the type of depictions is very reminiscent of those of the Modena Cathedral, probably created by the same traveling workers. Of the same decorative typological character is also the internal holy water stoup, circular with three harpies carved around the edge. On the cornice of the apse there is also the incision that recalls the restoration of the church in 1832, inserted in the missing lunettes. To visit absolutely !!!
