The staff should CHECK the number of passengers on the vehicles, the tickets and make sure that masks are worn!

Read the news that for weeks there is a broken elevator to reach the station tracks, I can only put a star at this hub station, the largest in the city of Palermo after the central station. Disgracefully disabled people and mothers with pushchairs cannot reach the tracks. For a month now the elevator has failed. Hopefully in a decisive action to solve the problem. To underline the presence of a tobacconist, some shops inside and outside the railway station. Waiting to be able to give different news, good reading to all! Today all is quiet! Days pass and everything is silent. He is still waiting. Finally the lift has been repaired, an essential service for so many people has been restored!

The Palermo Notarbartolo railway station was inaugurated on May 26, 1974, taking its name from the road of the same name that flanks it, at the end of a long period of work started under the fascist regime (in the 1930s), suspended in the war and resumed after various vicissitudes, completed in the seventies. It was born to streamline city traffic conditioned by about 10 level crossings that in fact "cut the city in two". Following this, in the nineties, taking advantage of the existing underground route of the old Bivio-Olivuzza-Porto line, a metropolitan connection was started from Palermo Centrale to Piazza Giachery, touching much of the city. A railway link is under construction that will connect another large part of the city (south-west area). With the opening of the Notarbartolo station, the old Lolli station located in the homonymous square was abandoned.
