IL VELIERO

Very nice lunch on two occasions, menu limited (end of season?) but different pasta dish each day and served with good bread. Downside is the polystyrene plates and plastic forks, but I can see why they don't want lots of dishes to wash. Local beer is a great accompaniment. Friendly young waitress, limited English. Wonderful view.

Bad experience. We arrive at 13:30 for lunch and we remain more than thirty minutes on our feet. They make us sit down and after a first arrangement they move us to 14:10 at another table. We order an appetizer (which is brought to us after an acceptable wait) and the first one. At 3.10pm the first one still hadn't arrived, despite being told repeatedly that it was coming. We waited a little longer and then asked for the bill, we got up at 15:20. The mockery in addition to the damage is that they presented us with an extra beer in the bill, when we pointed it out they told us that we had to pay 21 euros and 60 cents. We gave 20 euros and the waitress remained standing waiting for the euro and 60 cents. The only courteous employee was the tanned skinny girl who brought us wine and attended the table. Never again.

The owner's rudeness was incredible. We sat down at lunchtime to have an aperitif, drinking and eating something, asking if it was a problem considering the time. Despite the reassurances after we had sat down for 10 minutes, they came to complain that we couldn't play cards while having a beer because it was lunch time. Obviously we left but it is really shameful that such a thing happens, it would have been enough to say immediately how things were and there would be no problems. In addition, despite the owner's apologies, he did not even try to remedy the annoyance caused, for example, by making a discount. Absolutely a place not to frequent.

I have been coming to this beach for 20 years and have witnessed the growth of this kiosk. Over the years it has improved the structure and the food so good !!!! And thank you very much for the kindness of the waiters who, despite the huge crowd, found me a single place to eat and were so cute !!!
