it is a place of Catholic worship with a neoclassical shape, located in Case Gabelli in Solignano. The original place was built in medieval times within the walls of the castle of Solignano; the oldest evidence of its existence dates back to 1039, following the construction of the new valley road and the Parma-La Spezia railway line, the inhabitants moved further and further downstream, rebuilding the town around the eighteenth-century Leporati court; between 1975 and 1976 a modern church dedicated to San Lorenzo was also built in the center at the bottom of the valley, which became the new parish seat, [6] while the ancient place of worship upstream became a subsidiary. In 2008, the renovation of the facades and roofs began; however, on 23 December of that year a strong earthquake caused various damage to the building, which was closed for worship due to its unusability; between 2012 and 2014 the temple was subjected to restoration and seismic improvement; at the end of the works, which also involved the rearrangement of the churchyard, the church was reopened for worship with a solemn ceremony. The church develops on a central Greek cross plan, with entrance to the west and presbytery to the east; on the sides of the nave are the baptistery chapel to the north and the bell tower to the south, while the adjoining rooms extend to the sides of the presbytery; the rectory is attached to the southern façade, In perfect continuity, the baptistery chapel rises symmetrically on the left and the lower order of the bell tower on the right Inside the hall, covered in the first part by a barrel vault and in the middle by a pavilion vault, is flanked by two high barrel vaulted chapels; the semicircular edges between the arms are enriched by round arched niches and pilasters crowned by Doric capitals, supporting the perimeter cornice. The long, slightly raised presbytery is closed at the top by a barrel vault; inside there are the high altar at table and the ambo, obtained between 1970 and 1980 from the ancient high altar in polychrome wood; on the background, inside a monumental baroque altarpiece, the large altarpiece stands out.
