The church of Ligorzano is dedicated to the Saints Ippolito and Cassiano. Its construction began on September 04, 1898 the project of Ing. Coppi of Modena and ended in 1905. The sacred building is in neo-Gothic style and inside it has three naves with apses. You can admire the fresco of the Risen Christ (1990) and the altar frontal of the last supper (1993) performed by Enrico De Pietri. The organ was built in 1857 by the Agati organ builders of Pistoia and the organ case was painted by Domenico Costi. Restored in 1899 by Eugenio Bonazzi from Modena, it was heavily remodeled by R. Guerini after the war. In 1997 it was restored by Bartolomeo Formentelli. In front of the church of Ligorzano rises the building that houses the nuns of the Order of the Sisters of the Addolorata.
