Located in the town centre of Alassio in a posh building with decorated ceilings, this dentist speaks English, is rather professional and uses more or less modern equipment, however the price for checkup and cleaning is 110 EUR (which you're told about post factum), without any special ultra-modern materials or techniques being used, without even flossing between teeth or covering them with ftor-laque... I didn't expect to pay more than 50-60 eur for such a simple 15 minute job. I've paid 50 for same job in Spain last year and 50 for a much more modern approach in Cyprus a year before. So, either Italy is overpriced, or I've paid premium for centeal location in a touristic town or someone is charging foreigners extra...
