Stunning villa and grounds ideally located for exploring the region
Trulli di Montaltino is a beautiful holiday villa. The restored trulli which form the centrepiece of the house are full of character, and the additional bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen are in a sympathetic limestone design. The interior furnishings are well chosen and there are many individual touches. But what sets this villa apart is the amazing outdoor space. The front courtyard is very spacious and the outdoor kitchen, dining area and sofa area are delightful to be in throughout the day and at night when they are lit. The courtyard is also beautifully planted. The pool is stunning, lovely to swim in and surrounded by a wonderful garden with a pergola for shade. It is a real pleasure to pick ripe figs from the tree for breakfast after an early morning swim. The house backs on to a lovely olive grove. Local amenities are very good. Although you are in the countryside, the local supermarket and pizzeria are less than 1 km away. The villa is well situated for exploring the local area, the caves of Castellana Grotte, the trulli of Alberobello and the seaside towns of Monopolj and Polignano a Mare are all nearby. Our family of four - 2 parents and 2 teenagers - voted this the best holiday house ever and did not want to leave. We will be coming back soon...
