An internally very beautiful church. Clean welcoming light environment

The current Saint-Pierre church was built entirely in 1871-72 on the remains of previous medieval churches. The building has a rectangular plan with a single nave: the brothers Alessandro and Auguste Artari decorated, in the early twentieth century, the facade and vault and depicted the Last Supper, the evangelists and some Aosta Valley saints on the high altar in white marble, surmounted by a beautiful canvas painted by Stornone in 1889 in which Our Lord and St. Peter stand out. The large frame is a work of the sculptor Comoletti. The church houses an eighteenth-century walnut pulpit whose carved panels recall the life of Saint Peter. The bell tower dates back to the twelfth century: it is a square tower in plastered stone that has slits from the base to the top and openings with one, two and up to three rooms in the bell housing.
