The aspect of the port of Salerno is really poor. The sail from Salerno to Messina was on schedule and smooth. I've traveled much better ships than this...

Access to the port itself is a bit problematic, where traffic is heavy due to the passage through the city

We took a quiet ferry to Salerno Messina on a very nice and welcoming ship. We brought the car. Given the season, waiting times for boarding were very short. The staff welcoming and all clean. The restaurant instead ..... all inedible. The choice was only between two dishes, but on the other hand we did not expect more given the few passengers, but at least that it was eatable. The first nauseating, the hard, dry flesh that could not be swallowed.
