Canicatti'

The station was built in the vicinity of the village. It was inaugurated on 24 September 1876 in conjunction with the opening of the 28,871 km Caltanissetta-Canicattì railway line; but it took another two years for the connection with the line coming from S.Caterina Xirbi and Catania to be realized on 8 April 1878 with the opening of the last and challenging stretch of 6.3 km. The station was connected to the Aragona Caldar Station in the late 1880s by establishing a connection with the Palermo-Agrigento-Porto Empedocle Railway.

Train canceled at the last minute, without any notice or refund of the ticket made shortly before at the station. How can we progress if we are so backward and in the hands of incompetent people?

Incompetent! They cancel the train 1 minute before departure without NO notice and do not refund the ticket issued by themselves two minutes before. They remained in the Middle Ages! Zero professionalism.

Stop at a level crossing within the town for 40 minutes. Long live Italy
