We have had gorgeous service throughout Italy. But the waiter in this bar was just the rudest I have met for years. He took against us from the off. He brought every other table olives, nuts etc but nothing for us (we were drinking wine and Aperol Spritz). When we asked him, he said we had to pay 5 euros more. Really? On top of the 12 euros 50 for a wine and Aperol Spritz? He was lying I think. Nobody else had to pay. Avoid!!!

We enjoyed our coffee. It is in the square and you can watch the people while drinking your coffee.

Absolutely disrespectful service. If they could they will charge you even the sun at the piazza. Matera is such a nice place with amazing people and caffè, don’t choose this one.
