We have news of the locality "Settefonti" in correspondence from 1105, in which it is reported as "Curte Septemfunti". The name derives its origin from the original presence of seven springs in the area, which however remains without certain proof and is lost in the myth. The complex developed around the church of "Santa Maria Assunta", with walls and other buildings. Few remains of the original nucleus remain, following the extensive damage suffered during the Second World War. However, the ruins made safe and its location within the abadessa gully complex, represents a particular, suggestive and easily accessible observation point.

Remains of the church bombed in World War II, the facade and the bell tower have been restored. There are traces of the ancient walls that surrounded the hill.

Church of 1600 now destroyed which is located on a hill accessible from Ozzano or Mercatale. It is a point of interest for the many trekking or mountain biking trails in the area.

Completely immersed in greenery and silence, these ruins stand on a small hill that lends itself to a deep ravine in the Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi and Calanchi dell'Abbadessa. In the thirteenth century, a castle stood in this place. The fortified nucleus was small and the population that lived here was small. Already in the fourteenth century the castle went into ruins, then it was abandoned and finally demolished. The remains of the church of Santa Maria Assunta, with an adjoining bell tower, which can be visited today, was built at the end of the 1600s on a previous religious building. During the Second World War the area was the object of bombings that also affected this building. In the early 2000s a partial recovery was carried out on the façade of the church, on the bell tower and on the apse part of which the remains can be distinguished.
