In this place, along the Cesano, was the old district of the dyers and wool workers, and there was already a primitive chapel. The current church was built during the eighteenth century at the behest of the Guild of Dyers and Lanaioli, the date 1787 is engraved above the portal. It is a brick construction dominated by the high octagonal lantern that contains the dome. The facade remained unfinished. The interior is full of white stucco friezes and statues in full Baroque style. The statues depict the Theological Virtues and those on the side the higher one, the Prophets David and Samuel. It also houses various paintings, a Virgin with Saints by Giovanni Anastasi from Senigallia (1623-1704), a Crucifixion by the local Giovanni Francesco Ferri (1701-1775), a Madonna Enthroned with Child and Saints from the Venetian School of the second half of the 17th century century, a copy of the Annunciation by Federico Barocci. The 18th century benches painted with coats of arms and floral motifs are interesting.

It takes its name from the district of dyers and wool dealers built along the Cesano. Built during the sec. XVIII transforming a primitive chapel, bears the date 1787 above the portal, profiled in sandstone. The church is dominated by the high and unmistakable octagonal dome, surmounted in turn by a lantern. The stuccos and statues of the interior are of clear Baroque reminiscence. You can admire a valuable copy of the "Annunciation" by Federico Barocci (17th century), a Crucifixion by Gian Francesco Ferri and a "Virgin with Saints", attributed to Giovanni Anastasi (1653-1704).

It takes its name from the district of the dyers and the woolers built along the Cesano. Built during the century XVIII transforming a primitive chapel, it brings on the portal, profiled in sandstone, the date 1787. The church is dominated by the high and unmistakable octagonal dome, dominated in turn by a tiburium. The stuccos and statues of the interior are clearly baroque reminiscence. There is a fine copy of the Annunciation by Federico Barocci (17th century), a Crucifixion by Gian Francesco Ferri, and a Virgin with Saints attributed to Giovanni Anastasi (1653-1704) by Benedetta Montevecchi.

Paolo Lazzarini (07/11/2018)
wanted by the guild of the dyers of Pergola. He was called one of the best architects of the time; Arcangelo Vici of Palazzo d'Arcevia, father of the more famous Andrea, who he important churches to Corinaldo Osimo Arcevia etc. the style is a baroque style that refers to the Enlightenment. I believe it is among his best works.
