Great place to enjoy an afternoon drink

Unfortunately, I can't comprehend the good reviews so far. We chose the Antico Terrazzo because of its rooftop terrace which was advertised in front of the entrance. Despite the nice view, the place was nearly empty, and we soon would find out why. We arrived after midday to have drinks and a Caprese Salad. We were barely greeted by the owner who seemed to be in a very bad mood, barely speaking top is and pointing at the menu. We shared the salad because we were not that hungry. It came swimming in olive oil and with cutlery that was so dirty I wondered if it was cleaned at all after the last guests. When politely (!) asking for a clean knife, the owner just made a disgruntled remark we should be happy we got two knives in the first place instead of just one. A simple "sorry" would not have been too much to ask. When paying the bill I noticed the extra charge for the "service". Literally just mentioning that we were not aware of this made the owner even more angry. Pointing to the menu at the wall he made clear that eating here was a contract between him and us. I am not a lawyer but I know that a customer oriented attitude looks different, especially when being the only guests around. I made a remark about being friendly would not cost him anything, but that just got him triggered. We left the building with the owner yelling and insulting us from behind the bar. All in all we paid 20€ for a salad and two drinks, a price that buys you a full lunch in other places. We really would have appreciated the view if it wasn't ruined by the owner's impossible behavior. Having a nice terrace is one thing, but it does not justify such rude behavior. Also, the owner seems to be very picky about his customers. A woman was changing her baby's diapers on the table when we came (I swear I am not making this up), but that did not seem to bother him much and the table also was not cleaned afterwards. All in all our visit revealed an extremely unprofessional owner. Reading his responses to bad reviews so far does not help that impression either. If he doesn't like guests I think he should seriously consider a change of career.

I went to this place with my cousin and our friend, it has a stoning view to the ocean from it's terrace and the atention is great....and the drinks......wonderful.....salute!!!!

Very unfriendly boss. We went in to take a look around and I stood face to face with the owner telling me it is his house and how dare I can be to go inside - if so, he shall close the door and not put a bar inside! Further my mum went for toilet, she can't read English and could not read the 'for customers only'. Again the owner shouted at her - never come again and please stay away! Italy has much better bars and cafe's.
